Coaching Senior Fitness

Coaching Senior Fitness is comprised of three components—our Coaching Senior Fitness textbook, video learning experiences and interactive activities, and quizzes to assess learning outcomes. The textbook is the most up-to-date, comprehensive resource for working with adults ranging from 50-100 years old.

The video learning experiences will provide a series of core, balance and functional assessments appropriate for senior clients. You’ll also get demonstrations and progressions of exercises based on the updated ACE Integrated Fitness Training® Model and special considerations specific to working with older adults.

Brain Health Trainer

This video-based course led by Ryan Glatt, personal trainer and brain-health coach, will teach you how lifestyle interventions, primarily exercise and physical activity, can benefit your clients’ brain health. You will learn about the different aspects of brain health with the primary focus being on the outcomes associated with cognition.

Each module includes a quiz.

Interactive Case Study

Apply what you have learned from the Coaching Senior Fitness and Brain Health Trainer courses by completing an interactive case study. You’ll receive sample conversations, featuring the ACE Mover Method™ and ACE ABC Approach™ to give you a chance to evaluate and interpret health-history and assessment information and ultimately design an exercise program using the ACE IFT® Model Exercise Programming template.
