COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course empowers coaches to redefine their approach to training female clients by building tailored health and fitness programs that recognise the unique anatomy and physiology of women, specifically addressing the menstrual cycle’s different phases.

By understanding and accommodating these natural fluctuations and differences, participants will learn to create undulating periodised programs that align with each woman’s individual goals, fostering an empathetic environment for women.

Gain a basic understanding how anatomical differences influence exercise mechanics and injury prevention strategies. Discover strategies to customise training regimens and nutrition advice that account for hormonal fluctuations across the menstrual cycle, ensuring workouts and nutrition plans are meticulously aligned with female physiology.

Skye Sunderland

Skye is a passionate advocate for women’s health and fitness, bringing her own unique expertise to our team. After completing her Pre & Post Natal and Female-Specific certifications, along with a Diploma in Fitness in 2017, she launched her career as a personal trainer in commercial gyms.

In 2020, Skye took a significant step by establishing a women’s only gym, enabling her to implement The Female Specific Method, a method that recognises female clients require a different approach to standard fitness methods.

Her key interests lie in hormonal balance, focusing on fertility enhancement, PMS prevention, and menopause management. Skye is dedicated to educating both women and fitness professionals about the unique approaches required for female health, ensuring that women receive the specialised support they need in their fitness journeys.

Skye has her own line of Female Specific Accredited Certifications, including Cycle- Informed Coach, Peri-Menopause & Beyond, Pre & Post Natal, Pelvic Floor Essentials, and Nutrition for Hormone Balance, upon completing all 5 base courses, coaches can earn the qualification of Master Female Specific Coach.
